1617

1617 is a 1992 Dodge W350 equipped with a custom utility bed specifically set up for technical rescue operations. This unit carries the department’s full cache of rope rescue and ice rescue equipment, making it a critical resource for low-angle, high-angle, and cold-weather emergencies. In addition to its rescue gear, 1617 also tows the department’s 2015 John Deere Gator, extending access to remote or otherwise unreachable areas. While it's one of the older vehicles in the fleet, its specialized role and unique capabilities make it an essential support unit for a wide range of incidents.
